JAKARTA - The Dukuh Atas and Sudirman areas, Jakarta, are now a hangout magnet for many teenagers from Citayam, Bojonggede and Depok. The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) responded by setting up six health protocol guard posts around the location.

The Head of the Menteng Sub-district Satpol PP, Hendra explained, the six posts were placed in the Menteng area, or around Jalan Kendal in 2 locations. Meanwhile, the Tanah Abang area has four locations.

"Usually we only guard two points or monitors, now we are installing tents. So we have our own post," said Hendra when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 12.

Hendra explained that the command post was guarded by three personnel at 06.00-00.00 WIB.

According to him, with this thickening of personnel, teenagers who often "hang out" in the Sudirman and Dukuh Atas areas can maintain health protocols (prokes), do not litter and do not gather after 22.00 WIB.

Apart from placing the command posts, the Satpol PP together with elements of the three pillars, namely the Menteng Metro Police Koramil and the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, also routinely conduct sweeps and patrols in the Sudiman area and the Kendal tunnel until 00.00 WIB to ensure that there are no crowds.

"Every day we have activities, but we are more focused on Saturday and Sunday because the surge in visitors occurs on holidays," said Hendra.

Hendra added that his party had put up a banner prohibiting littering along with sanctions that would be applied if visitors violated it.

Visitors who are caught littering will be subject to community service sanctions, cleaning the surrounding garbage while wearing a vest that reads "violator".

The phenomenon of SCBD holding a "fashion show" is based on the fact that they think that the portrait of the atmosphere in the Sudirman Station and BNI City areas in Dukuh Atas is like being in South Korea.

"They think that Kendal (Jalan) is similar to Korea, so they like to gather there," said Hendra.
