MATARAM - The Mataram City Police Resort, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) team secured an airsoft gun and a package containing marijuana that came from Aceh.

The Head of Drugs at the Mataram Police, Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama, said the items were seized from the arrest of three men in the Ampenan area.

"This arrest is a follow-up to information from the Customs and Excise Office which stated that a package containing marijuana had entered Mataram through a delivery service," Yogi said as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 12.

The police then traced the information until they found out the existence of the package at one of the delivery service offices in the Mataram City area.

"So when the goods are delivered to the recipient, we immediately make an arrest," he said.

The three men arrested on Monday (11/7) afternoon had the initials DS (41) from Malang, DK (40) from Jombang, and RW (40), the owner of the house suspected of being the recipient of goods from Ampenan.

"The house receiving this package is in a residential area in the Pagutan area, Mataram," he said.

From the arrests of the three men, the police also confiscated an airsoft gun complete with gas bullets, small knife-type sharp weapons, ATM cards, cell phones, savings books, and cigarette paper.

"For the package, the marijuana was packaged in two rolls of parchment paper covered with black plastic. We confiscated it when the RW received the goods," he said.

The results of the inspection revealed that the package sent from Aceh was ordered by RW. The weight of the marijuana package sent was 70 grams.

"For the other two, they are temporary allegations as people who deliver goods when an order comes in. This RW is suspected as a dealer," he said.

Regarding the discovery of the airsoft gun from the arrest of the three perpetrators, Yogi ensured that his party was still investigating through examination.
