A Corpse On The Edge Of The Jagorawi Toll Road Turns Out To Have Stolen PLN's Cable

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Sector Police revealed a case of finding a corpse in a decomposed condition at the edge of the Jagorawi Toll Road, RT 02/006, Kebon Pala Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta on Saturday, July 9, yesterday.

"According to the results of the examination at the TKP, the position of the victim's hand was holding an electric cable and on top of the victim's body there was an electric cable from the LRT Project AMR KWH meter box," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Makassar Police Iptu Mochamad Zen when confirmed by reporters, Monday, July 11.

From the findings of the evidence found, continued Kanit, it is suspected that the victim died due to being electrocuted by high voltage electricity.

"He was electrocuted by high voltage when trying to carry out an attempt to steal the PLN electricity cable. Evidence of a crowbar, knife, scissors, screwdriver, hacksaw, keys, bag and two packs of cigarettes were seized," he said.

However, the Criminal Investigation Unit has not disclosed the identity of the corpse. At the time of the crime scene investigation, the identity of the victim was not found.

The discovery of the body began on Saturday, July 9 at around 15.00 WIB. The victim was found by two witnesses named Rijal and Hidayatullah.

"Initially the two witnesses wanted to take grass around the crime scene for goats," he said.

Then Rizal looked at the top of the Jagorawi Toll Bridge, there were many flies swarming. Rijal also ordered Hidayatullah to check upstairs. After checking, it turned out that Hidayatullah saw a man's body in a decomposed condition.

The victim was found in a supine position. Around the victim's stomach there is a PLN electricity cable. Then the finding of the body was reported to the Head of RW 06, Kebon Pala Village, Makasar District. The report was then forwarded to the Makassar Police.
