Replacement Of Lili Pintauli Discussed After Recess, Johan Budi: Don't Know To Replace Or Wait For Next Period

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo, said that his party had not officially received the news of Lili Pintauli's resignation as KPK leader. This is because the DPR is currently in recess.

Johan said that the discussion on the replacement of Lili Pintauli would be carried out after the DPR entered the session period again. According to the mechanism, the government first sends the names of the candidates for the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission to conduct a fit and proper test to the DPR.

"Possibly after the recess, Commission III will definitely discuss it," said Johan Budi, Monday, July 11.

Johan said Commission III of the DPR will discuss the extent to which Lili's resignation has affected the KPK institutionally. Including the question of whether it needs to be replaced or not.

"This is resigning, right? That's later whether it needs to be replaced or not. Because of the five, only one, still four can run the wheels of government," said the former KPK spokesman.

According to the PDIP politician, four leaders can still lead an anti-racism agency. Based on his experience as a spokesperson for the KPK, the vacancy for a new leadership must be filled when there are only two leaders left.

"In the past, if there were only two KPK leaders, or three, they were only added. If someone resigned or related to him, they couldn't carry out their duties, for example," he said.

"If there is only one, I don't know whether the mechanism will be immediately replaced or waiting for the next period," concluded Johan Budi.
