Police Alleged ACT Didn't Convey Details Of Donation Aid To Heirs Of Lion Air JT-610 Victims

JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit suspects that the charity Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) has misappropriated aid funds for victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash. This is because this charitable foundation did not convey in detail the amount of aid received to the heirs.

"The ACT Foundation has not announced the realization of the CSR funds it received from Boeing to the victims' heirs," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Nurul Azizah to reporters, Monday, July 11.

In fact, ACT also did not inform about the development of work for the heirs.

So far, information has been found that ACT used the donation to pay the salaries of the foundation's employees. In fact, the funds were used for personal gain.

"It is suspected that the ACT foundation did not realize all the CSR funds obtained from Boeing, but some of the CSR funds were used to pay the salaries of the chairman of the supervisory board and staff at the ACT foundation," he said.

"It is also used to support facilities and activities or personal interests of the chairman of the board or the president of brother A and the deputy chairman of the board or vice president of brother IK," continued Nurul.

According to Nurul, the amount of donations that must be distributed to the heirs reaches Rp. 2 billion. This means, with the number of victims, the aid that must be given reaches hundreds of billions.

"It's worth more than IDR 2 billion for each victim with a total of IDR 138 billion," said Nurul.

For information, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police investigated the alleged misappropriation of aid funds by the management of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation to be distributed to the heirs of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash that occurred in 2018.

The misappropriation of social funds originating from the Boeing aircraft factory was allegedly carried out by ACT management, namely former ACT President Ahyudin and ACT President Ibnu Khajar.

Both are suspected of misusing some of the social funds for their personal interests in the form of paying salaries and personal facilities.

"That the management of the ACT Foundation, in this case, Brother Ahyudin as the founder and chairman of the board and supervisor and Brother Ibnu Khajar as the chairman of the board, alleged that some of the social funds from Boeing had been misappropriated for their own personal interests," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad.
