Destroyed A Pickup When Buying And Selling Motorbikes, A Gang Of Thieves In Deli Serdang Was Arrested By The Police After 2 People Were Arrested By Residents

MEDAN - Six men who stole a pickup belonging to Pindo Tamba in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, were arrested by the Percut Sei Tuan Police, Sunday, July 10. The modus operandi was that the perpetrators fled the car by pretending to buy a motorbike.

The Head of Percut Sei Tuan Police, Kompol M Agustiawan, explained that the arrests began when the police received information that 2 men suspected of theft were secured by residents at the Saentis Police Post.

"Then the officers went straight to the location to check the truth of the information. Arriving at the correct location, 2 men named Syafrizal (40) and Govinda Sinaga (32) along with 1 motorcycle unit, said Kompol Agustiawan, Monday, July 11.

The police then carried out developments and arrested 4 men who participated in the theft.

"The four named Agung (21), Andika (19) Rizki Sinaga (20) and Iboy Syahputra (22). The four were arrested on Jalan Palo Wave, Tanjung Selamat Village," he said.

Kompol Agustiawan explained that the theft of the pickup began when the perpetrators planned to buy a motorbike belonging to the victim. The victim took the motorbike in a pickup.

"But on the way the victim was forced to get out of the car and the perpetrators took away the pickup, motorbike and cellphone belonging to the victim," he said.

"Furthermore, we will take all the perpetrators along with the evidence to the Percut Sei Tuan Police for examination," said Commissioner Agustiawan.
