SPIN Survey: 55.8 Public Percents Satisfied With The Performance Of The Jokowi-Ma'ruf Government After Cabinet Reshuffle

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Survey and Polling Institute (SPIN) released the results of a survey related to public satisfaction with the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government. As a result, the majority of the public expressed satisfaction with the performance of the president and vice president.

"In general, the public considers the performance of the Jokowi-Maruf 2022 government to be satisfactory (positive). The survey results show that the amount is 62.5 percent (6.7 percent very satisfied and 55.8 percent satisfied)," said SPIN Director Igor Dirgantara in a survey presentation entitled 'Jokowi Pemilihan Jokowi Menuat, Prabowo Is the Unitary Unitary' online, Friday, July 8.

Igor explained, the value of this positive sentiment increased compared to the SPIN survey period in April 2022. This positive sentiment improvement, he said, could be in line with the public's response to the resolution of several issues in the economic and political fields, especially through a cabinet reshuffle.

"Perhaps the public's expectations are quite large from the cabinet reshuffle policy carried out by Jokowi," said Igor.

In addition, Igor said the top 4 institutions had the highest confidence from the public in a row. Namely, the TNI with 67.7 percent Presidential Decree 61.1 percent, the KPK 49.5 percent and the National Police 47.8 percent.

"While the remaining institutions are below 50 percent," he said.

Igor said, as an important institution in the democracy of political parties, only 43 percent of the public and the DPR are trusted by 33.4 percent.

"There needs to be an evaluation considering that our government system tends to be legislative heavy," he said.

However, the percentage of trust in political parties is still better than the provincial and district/city governments where the public confidence rate is at 37.2 percent and 34.4 percent, respectively.

The SPIN survey was conducted on June 25-5 July 2022 with 1,230 respondents spread across 34 provinces of Indonesia.

Random sampling or multi-stage random sampling with a margin of error +/-2.8 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.
