The Body Of A 15-year-old Boy Who Sank In Kalimalang Was Found At The Floodgate, 1 Kilometer From The Location Of The Fallen Victim.

JAKARTA - HM, a 15-year-old teenager who drowned in the Kalimalang River, was finally found by joint SAR officers who died at the Kalimalang floodgate, on Thursday, July 7, at 21.00 WIB.

The victim's body was found 1 kilometer from the point where the victim fell and drowned in the Kalimalang River. After being evacuated, the victim's body was taken to the funeral home on Jalan Prumpung Sawah, RT 08/04, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara.

The search for victims AM began on Thursday at around 13.25 WIB by SAR officers in two rubber boats. Officers along the Kalimalang River around the point where the victim fell and drowned.

The search is divided into three points. At the first point, the search was carried out combing around the point where the victim fell, the second point in the middle between the location of the victim falling with the floodgate and the third point monitoring at the floodgate.

"It was found by a joint SAR team at the Kalimalang floodgate, a distance of 1 kilometer from the location where the victim fell. It was found at 21.00 WIB at night," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. OPS Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, to reporters, Friday, July 8.

Previously, it was reported that HM (15), a disabled teenager who had drowned in the Kalimalang River, Jalan Inspection of the West Tarum Channel, Kalimalang, Cipinang Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, was at the location along the Kalimalang River with his father named Superkir (49).

On Thursday, July 7 at around 11.00 WIB, HM accompanied his father who was washing an automatic motorbike on the banks of the Kalimalang River. That afternoon, Superkir and his son visited the location of the incident from their home in the Prumpung Sawah area.

The superkir also parked his motorbike on the side of the Kalimalang River. The superkir had brought a bucket to fetch water from the Kalimalang River to clean his motorbike.

Then after parking the motorbike, the Superkir drew water from the river using a bucket by pulling the rope he was carrying.

Meanwhile, HM sits on the Ciliwung River embankment. While Superkir, his father, was washing his motorbike by pouring water.

"I'm washing my motorbike, the child is sitting down. Maybe he dumped, he shouted. I immediately went black. I twisted his t-shirt, instead of going to the side, he (his son with the initials HM)," said Superkir, the victim's father HM to VOI, at the scene, West Tarum Channel Inspection Street, Kalimalang, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 7.

Superkir's efforts to save his child also led to failure. HM's body, he said, continued to be eroded by the swift flow of the Kalimalang River and dragged it to the middle.
