JAKARTA - General Transportation Company Djakarta (Perum PPD) conducted trials with early warning detection tools for drivers. The trial is expected in the future to provide service system solutions for land transportation.

The President Director of Perum PPD, Pande Putu Yasa, said that early detection tools for the Pramudi followed the rise of bus fleet accidents in the field due to human error.

Recently, he continued, Transjakarta bus accidents often occur. So this tool is the only way as the best solution for Perum PPD to minimize the accident ratio.

"Well, coincidentally PT Teknologi Karya Digital Nusa (TKDN) has a tool that can detect fatigue from the driver, whether due to sleepiness or getting off track. All forms of violations include if the driver smokes it will be detected from the advanced technology tool, we have just tested this tool," said Pande Putu when confirmed, Thursday, July 6.

Putu added that later this tool will be installed in bus units, in the hope that it can detect the initial negligence of the driver.

"Later on, we can convey it to the person concerned (the driver) through an early warning from the office," he said.

"So we can convey directly, there is two-way communication with our driver, through tools such as being able to warn the driver directly so as not to sleepy," he added.

After the trial, Putu continued, if it is true, what is offered is accurate, then all fleets in Transjakarta will be equipped with the detection tool.

"In that tool there is a complete CCTV camera, a two-way communication relationship can be done," he said.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT TKDN, David Santoso, assessed that the use of the device was very appropriate to be embedded in fleet management.

According to him, integrated technology can increase the level of operational efficiency and is no less important to encourage customer satisfaction.

"This is a form of TKDN's commitment to digitalization programs in the transportation sector through advanced IoT technology that is integrated to support smart cities," he said.
