Provisional US Election Results: Biden Outperforms LGBT And Black People

JAKARTA - Preliminary results of the national election polls (exit polls) of the United States (US), show challenger Joe Biden to excel at lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) voters. In addition, Biden also outperformed incumbent Donald Trump in black voters.

The poll was conducted by Edison Research for the National Election Pool. Their method is to interview voters outside the direct polling stations and initial polling stations by telephone.

A total of 14,318 interviewees were quoted as saying by The New York Times. These results will of course be updated continuously. Here are the results.

More than half of the voters from LGBT circles or as much as 61 percent of the 7 percent of the total informants chose Biden. Meanwhile, another 27 percent voted for Trump.

In addition, Biden also earned more votes than non-white voters. The difference in vote acquisition was mostly seen in black voters. As many as 87 percent of those people voted for Biden, while 11 percent voted for Trump.

Hispanic or Latin and Asian voters also mostly supported Biden. 67 percent of Hispanics support Biden while 31 percent support Trump. Then 64 percent of the Asians support Biden, 30 percent defend Trump.

Trump, meanwhile, won over white voters by 55 percent. Meanwhile, Biden received 43 percent support from these circles.

But again this is not the final result. Because who will occupy the seat of US President can only be determined after the candidate has successfully obtained 270 votes in the electoral college.

The provisional survey results quoted from the BBC noted that when this news was made, Biden received 98 electoral support, while Trump's 89 support. These are just the results of 23 of the 50 states that will determine the candidates for US President.
