Having 4 Thumbs, This Child Always Wins Playing Video Games

JAKARTA - A 12 year old boy was born with an extra thumb on each hand. Faizan Ahmad Najar has a congenital condition hexadactyly, meaning six digits. This only occurs in 1 person in about 1,500 births.

"This is a birth defect that is not very common. Even if the parents are 'normal', this can still happen to their offspring," senior doctor Mushtaq Ahmed said.

Although Faizan looks different from other children, he sees this as a positive thing. What is the chapter? Having twelve fingers means he is better at playing cricket and playing video games than his peers.

Her friends also reacted very positively to the situation - some have compared her to Krrish, the star of the popular Bollywood superhero film series.

"I feel proud about this. There is no shame - this is God's will," Faizan of Sheeri Baramulla, in the Kashmir region of northern India, said.

“Sometimes, but not often, I think, 'Why only me?' But overall, I have some good friends at school who make me not feel that way, "Faizan added.

The Faizan family always supports this child. His mother, Hafeeza, revealed that their family was offered surgery when Faizan was young, to remove an extra finger - but they feared it would bring him 'bad luck'.

"When he was two years old, we were told that our son had to be operated on," she said.

"But we consulted a saint about it, and he told us that our son might lose his sight if he has surgery - so we are not considering having surgery."

Faizan himself has big plans for the future. He wants to give support to people who are born in his condition.

"I want to be a doctor. I want to treat born patients who are malfunctioning so that no one can bully or mock them," he revealed.

"Fortunately, I didn't have much of (the taunts) because I live in the countryside."
