The North Penajam Paser Boundary Location Of The Archipelago IKN Hasn't Been Completed, The Government Is Asked To Complete It

JAKARTA - The chairman of Commission I of the Penajam Paser Utar Regency DPRD, Andi Muhammad Yusuf, asked the central government to complete the boundary of the North Penajam Paser Regency which is used as the location for the national capital (IKN) of the Archipelago.

According to Andi, there must be clear boundaries because the Sepaku District is included as an IKN area.

He said that the boundaries of the territory needed to be clarified so that the boundaries of the North Penajam Paser area which were taken over by the Nusantara IKN Authority would not cause problems.

"The central government must coordinate with district governments and community leaders regarding regional boundaries," Andi said in Penajam, East Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

IKN is known to be located in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and parts of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province.

Andi explained that the transfer of IKN was based on Law No. 3/2022 on IKN Nusantara. So that all infrastructure development needs for new IKN, he continued, must be carried out immediately according to the plan.

Andi also asked the central government to accelerate the development of the Nusantara IKN. "We encourage the central government to accelerate the development of IKN Nusantara," he added.

According to him, the development of the new Indonesian IKN has shown progress, the central government has announced the bidding process for the construction of the State Palace.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will also build a number of connecting road access points to IKN Nusantara.

It is hoped that the construction of the new capital city of Indonesia will be in accordance with the concepts and targets that have been proclaimed by the central government.

"We support the development of the Nusantara IKN, and the relocation of the nation's capital is a blessing for the residents of North Penajam Paser," he said.
