Mayor Of Bandung Checks OPD Cooperation With ACT

BANDUNG - Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana will check the possibility of cooperation with regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Bandung City Government with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) following the revocation of the agency's permit to collect money and goods.

"I don't know yet, the Social Service might also have to (check). I haven't received a report yet," Yana said in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

Yana admitted that she had never had a meeting with ACT representatives during her tenure as Mayor of Bandung.

"I also don't know yet, what kind of activities are here, whether they collect donations here, do disaster relief, I also don't know," he said.

Bandung City Government officials were recorded to have held a meeting with ACT representatives on October 21, 2020, when COVID-19 cases soared.

The meeting which took place during Yana's tenure as Deputy Mayor of Bandung discussed ACT's plan to implement the Bangkit Bangsaku Program to help overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Social Affairs revoked the permit to collect money and goods given to the ACT Foundation in 2022 following allegations of violating regulations by the foundation.

The revocation of ACT's permit is stated in the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 133/HUK/2022 dated July 5, 2022 regarding the revocation of the permit to collect donations to the ACT Foundation which was signed by the Ad Interim Minister of Social Affairs Muhadjir Effendi.
