Surabaya City Government To Increase Swab Hunter Operations At The Surabaya Border

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) continues to make various efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. After last week's long holiday, the Surabaya City Government has intensified its swab hunter operations at the border.

Deputy Secretary of the Surabaya City COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force who is also the Head of BPB Linmas Surabaya, Irvan Widyanto, explained that the Surabaya Municipal Government along with the TNI-Polri ranks will hold a Border Hunter Swab operation on Wednesday, November 4. This operation will be held simultaneously in the nine sub-districts which are the border of Surabaya.

"So, after the long holiday and joint leave of 2020, the Mayor (Mayor of Surabaya Tri Rismaharini) wants to ensure that there is no transmission of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Surabaya, so we hold a Border Hunter Swab to break the chain of transmission," said Irvan. , in Surabaya, Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

The nine sub-districts where the operations are located are Gunung Anyar District, which will be located at the Rungkut Menanggal Urban Village office at 18.00-21.00 WIB and on Jalan Wiguna at 07.00-09.00 WIB. Then Pakal Sub-district is located at the Benowo Sub-district office at 07.00-09.00 WIB, and in Jambangan District at the Pagesangan Village office at 07.00-09.00 WIB.

Furthermore, in Gayunga District, in Bulak and Kenjeran Districts. Then in Wonocolo Subdistrict, which is located in RW 6 near the Siwalankerto Rusun at 18.00-21.00 WIB.

Another location is in Lakarsantri District, Karang Pilang District right at Karang Pilang Market and also in Benowo District.

"The target of this operation will be residents who live around the border and they will be invited by the Heads of the Village and the District Heads. Another target is the drivers who will enter the city of Surabaya," said Irvan.

The former Kasatpol PP City of Surabaya also confirmed that at the test location, a special car would be prepared for evacuation, so that if residents or drivers who tested positive for COVID-19 were found, they would immediately be taken for isolation at the Hajj Dormitory Hotel.

"Later, we will prepare an evacuation car at every point. If there is something positive, we will immediately take it to the Hajj Dormitory Hotel," he said.

Residents of the City of Surabaya are asked to maintain health protocols even though the COVID-19 case in Surabaya has started to slope.
