MANADO - The joint SAR team has yet to find a young man who jumped while fishing at the PT Gasmindo Bitung pier, North Sulawesi on Monday yesterday.

The head of the Manado Search and Relief Office (Basarnas), Monce said, on the second day of searching, they had not found any signs of victims.

"Currently, the search has not found any signs of victims and will continue tomorrow, Wednesday. We will optimize this search so that all joint SAR teams can quickly find the victim's whereabouts," he said in Manado, Antara, Tuesday, July 5.

He added that in today's search, the Basarnas team used an Aque eye and diving equipment but had not found any signs of victims.

"Dives were carried out around the location of the incident by four personnel carried out alternately," he said.

Monce reminded the whole team to always maintain cohesiveness and always coordinate.

"The members of the team involved, always have to maintain security every time they carry out a search, both diving and on a rubber boat," he said.

Victim Rivai Huasin, an 18-year-old resident of Girian Weru Bitung, jumped onto the beach while fishing at the PT Gasmindo Bitung pier, on Monday. The victim jumped from the pier allegedly because his fishing rod fell onto the beach.
