JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said behind the celebration of the 76th anniversary of Bhayangkara, there were still many unfinished tasks. One of them, the rate of the spread of COVID-19 which is increasing again.

"The task has not been completed, especially regarding the handling of COVID-19," said Inspector General Fadil at Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, July 5.

Therefore, it is necessary to take steps to prevent the spread of the virus. That way, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 can continue to be suppressed.

Other tasks that await, such as the holding of national and international events. So, the Police must oversee the implementation of the event so that it runs smoothly.

Inspector General Fadil also mentioned the task of protecting the community according to President Joko Widodo's direction when he was the Inspector of the Bhayangkara Anniversary Speech in Semarang, Central Java.

According to him, Jakarta as a storefront for Indonesia must be safe, comfortable and peaceful for all people.

"The President's instructions clearly continue to prioritize crime prevention, fair law enforcement, and maximum use of the law," said Inspector General Fadil.

Meanwhile, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, said that the National Police, especially the Polda Metro Jaya, had worked optimally in creating a sense of security in Jakarta.
