Three Ustaz And Senior Santri Become Suspects Of Obscenity At Ponpes Depok

JAKARTA - The police have named four suspects in the sexual abuse of dozens of female students at an Islamic boarding school in Depok, West Java. The suspects are ustaz and senior students.

"Yes, he has been raised for investigation, then his status has been increased, and he has become a suspect," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, July 4.

The determination of the suspect is based on the results of the investigation and the investigation of three police reports. The report is registered with the numbers LP/B/3082/VI/SPKT/PMJ, LP/B/3083/VI/SPKT/PMJ, and LP/B/3084/VI/SPKT/PMJ.

These four suspects, three of whom are ustaz. While the other one is a senior student. However, no further details on their identity were given.

"Where one (ustad, ed) commits sexual intercourse with a minor. Then two (ustad, ed) commit sexual immorality. And one more senior male student, who sexually abuses underage female students," said Zulpan.

Although the suspect has been identified, the police are still investigating the case. Because, in the report there were five people who were the reported parties.

Then, the police will also look for information from other victims. Because, until now only three female students who are willing to provide information.

"We are now picking up the ball and going to the other victims because this victim is reluctant to come to the police to report. But we already have data on these 11 people, and the team is heading to their place," said Zulpan.
