The arrest of this perpetrator began when a number of families and patients at the Weleri Islamic Hospital often lost their cellphones.

"The victim and the hospital have reported the incident because cellphone theft often occurs. From the report, we will then follow up by conducting an investigation," explained Ruslan.

Based on CCTV footage, the Weleri Police Criminal Investigation Unit was able to reveal the identity of the perpetrator and managed to arrest him at his hiding place.

"From the CCTV footage at the Islam Weleri hospital, we were able to reveal the identity of the perpetrator and arrest the perpetrator at his hiding place," he said.

From the results of the arrest of the perpetrators, the police managed to secure evidence in the form of a cellphone and a motorcycle used.

"From the hands of the perpetrators, we secured evidence of one unit of cellphone and a motorcycle used by the perpetrator," he added.

The perpetrators will be charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a penalty of five years in prison.
