Members Of Commission VII Call Purchasing BBM Through Applications Difficult For The Community

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Commission VII, Rofik Hananto, assessed that the system for purchasing Pertalite and diesel fuel through the MyPertamina application made it difficult or complicated for the people to obtain their rights.

"The system using the MyPertamina application for the purchase of Pertalite and Solar in my opinion is not appropriate, it actually adds to the confusion of the people in obtaining their rights," he said in an official statement, Saturday, July 2.

He added that the background of this policy is to regulate the distribution of subsidized fuel, especially Pertalite and diesel fuel so that it is right on target, namely the people who can't afford it. However, the purpose of this policy is still not clear. According to him, in the current era of technology, everything should be simple, but this policy is actually complicated.

"The first is who can register in the Mypertamina system? What are the criteria? How does Pertamina know those who register are those who have the right? Is there DTKS data (Integrated Social Welfare Data) for comparison. If so, we all know that DTKS data is not accurate. Without clear criteria, anyone can register on MyPertamina, including rich people who are not entitled to it, "he concluded.

Previously, PT Pertamina (Persero) through Pertamina Patra Niaga announced the registration of Pertalite fuel oil (BBM) and subsidized diesel through the MyPertamina website specifically for four-wheeled vehicles or cars.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said that the registration aims to match the data registered by the public with the documents and vehicles they have.

Irto also said that 60 percent of the people who use subsidized fuel are the rich.

"60 percent of the wealthy or those belonging to the rich group consume almost 80 percent of the total consumption of subsidized fuel. Meanwhile, 40 percent of the vulnerable and poor only consume 20 percent of the total energy subsidy," said Irto Ginting, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga at the time. The use of subsidies that are not well targeted has encouraged Pertamina Patra Niaga as Pertamina's Subholding Commercial and Trading to seek mechanisms to ensure subsidies remain targeted. According to Irto, targeted subsidies are important, considering that the Government has allocated funds of up to IDR 520 trillion for energy subsidies in 2022.
