MAKI Asks 2 Names Of Candidates For Head Of High Prosecutor's Office For The Type Of Consolidation To Be Removed

JAKARTA - The Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman has asked the Attorney General's Office to cross out two names of candidates for Head of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) for consolidation.

"MAKI asked the selection committee to declare two out of six people failed," said Boyamin in his written statement, Monday, November 2.

Even though he did not mention names, MAKI requested that the candidate who had been passed by the AGO be dropped, because one candidate is currently being reported to the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision and the Prosecutor's Commission for alleged ethical and behavior violations.

Meanwhile, one agi person, said Boyamin, was asked to be crossed out because he did not pass the leadership training exam held by the Ministry of National Education and RB and the manipulation of managerial competency test rankings and career patterns to rank first.

"We suspect the two people passed because of the element of closeness to high-ranking officials at the Attorney General's Office and not based on an objective competency test and not based on integrity or professionalism," he said.

Boyamin also said, if you look at the problems of the two candidates, only four names should have been passed.

Boyamin emphasized that the process of selecting the position of Kajati Consolidation was flawed in procedure. Because, he suspects that the selection committee will only assess six people from the seven opportunities for Kajati Consolidation.

"It means that it is reasonable to suspect that the selection for this position is just plotting and it is suspected that all 6 candidates will pass. Supposedly, if the activity on November 4, 2020 is a selection, there should be at least 14 candidates so that if someone dies there will still qualify," he explained.

"To avoid the plotting of positions, two candidates who do not meet the qualifications should be declared invalid and the next selection is carried out in a transparent and accountable manner," he added.

The six people who have passed as candidates for the Head of the High Prosecutor's Office for Consolidation in North Sumatra, South Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and South Sulawesi are:
