Agree On Coalition, Jazilul Fawaid: PKB And Gerindra Political Machines Live Immediately

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) for the DPP PKB Election Winning Division, Jazilul Fawaid, emphasized that his party is increasingly steadfast in collaborating with the Gerindra Party in welcoming the 2024 General Election.

In fact, Jazilul said, the engines of the two political parties were immediately heated after the elite meeting of PKB and Gerindra during the 'Gerindra National Gathering and PKB for the revival of Indonesia Raya' in Jakarta, Thursday, June 30, yesterday. Jazilul also believes that the coalition built by PKB and Gerindra will win in the upcoming elections.

"The political engines of PKB and Gerindra are both live, meaning that PKB and Gerindra have the belief to win. These two political machines are so connected and run straight away," Jazilul told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday, July 2.

According to Jazilul, the two parties already have a strong count of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition. If they unite to carry Prabowo-Muhaimin or Muhaimin-Prabowo, he said, the results will be successful in the 2024 election.

"Each one has its pluses and minuses, but we've calculated it. Gus Muhaimin and Pak Prabowo have two strengths, namely they are both party leaders. As for who will be the presidential or vice presidential candidate, it's just a matter of discussion," he said.

The deputy chairman of the MPR RI stated that the PKB and Gerindra coalition was based on the strong belief of both parties, which when they meet will become a formidable force.

"We both believe that the united PKB-Gerindra will win, even though so far they have never formed a coalition. So, this coalition was built to win, not just to run. If it's just to be a candidate, PKB has many choices," said Jazilul.

Nevertheless, Jazilul said, PKB and Gerindra did not close themselves to the possibility of joining other political parties in the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition.

"We also open cooperation with other political parties such as PKS or others. We agree not to close other parties from joining," he concluded.

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani explained that the purpose of the gathering was to familiarize the structures of the two parties at the provincial and district/city levels. Therefore, the meeting brought together the leaders of the Gerindra Party DPD and PKB DPW leaders throughout Indonesia. "The party center leaders facilitate and deliver everything, get to know each other, and joke around. Henceforth, they are in their respective regions to make friends," he said.
