JAKARTA - The seat of the Minister for Administrative Reform Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) is vacant after being left by Tjahjo Kumolo who died on Friday, July 1. Currently, the position of MenPAN-RB has been temporarily replaced by ad interim Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md. Member of Commission II of the DPR from the PKS faction, Mardani Ali Sera, suggested that President Joko Widodo quickly find a replacement for Tjahjo Kumolo and not leave the MenPAN-RB seat vacant for more than 1 month. month.

"Pak Jokowi's right is to hasten or delay the next month. But (the suggestion) is not more than one month," Mardani told reporters, Saturday, July 2.

According to this commission member who is partnering with KemenPAN-RB, a vacancy at the helm for too long will have an impact on the Ministry itself. According to Mardani, this will potentially slow down the repair and reform process in the ministry.

"One month is the longest time to fill the void, it will potentially slow down the repair process," he said.

Mardani also considered that Tjahjo's replacement did not have to be from the party. The most important thing, he said, was that the figure was able to carry out the tasks ordered by President Jokowi. "Look for the best, not necessarily from the party. Because bureaucratic reform is one of Pak Jokowi's five main programs," he said. Mardani also asked that the KemenPAN-RB ranks continue to work as usual. He hopes that the ranks of the KemenPAN-RB will continue to guard ASN, state servants, and serve professionally.

"I encourage the KemenPAN-RB to continue to advance themselves in guarding, guarding and orchestrating ASN, state servants, to serve wholeheartedly with a professional attitude," he said.

The chairman of the PKS DPP did not forget to convey his condolences to the family for the death of Tjahjo Kumolo. He ensured that Commission II of the DPR RI also felt the loss of the senior PDIP politician.

"Deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. Mr. Tjahjo is a simple person and focused on work. We, Commission II DPR RI feel a great loss," said Mardani.

As is known, MenPAN-RB Tjahjo Kumolo passed away at the Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Jakarta yesterday, Friday, July 1. The deceased was buried in the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the position of MenPAN-RB for now is still held by interim official Mahfud Md. Mahfud was appointed as a replacement since Tjahjo Kumolo was in intensive care at the hospital.
