Polantas admonishes motorists who use flip-flops at Tabanan Bali/DOK Tabanan Police

TABANAN - Traffic Unit (Satlantas) personnel of the Tabanan Police, Bali reprimanded 200 motorcycle riders who wore flip-flops during Operation Obedience Agung 2022.

The reprimand was carried out during Operation Obedience Agung 2022 from June 13 to June 26.

Tabanan Traffic Police Head AKP Kanisius Pranata said a total of 838 drivers were reprimanded for several violations. Meanwhile, the number of motorists who were ticketed reached 201 violators.

"For warnings, there are 838 people, for fines from June 13 to 26 there are 201 violators and approximately 200 people who (use) sandals (rebuked)", said AKP Pranata, Thursday, June 30.

Operation Obedience Agung 2022 was held at Bypass Ir. Soekarno Street, to the Denpasar-Gilimanuk Street area in the West Selemadeg District, Tabanan.

If later there are drivers who use flip-flops, the police will give a warning.

"If people continue to be stubborn, we will continue to urge them until there is a decision and rules governing the issue (of flip-flops) are ticketed", he explained.

For safety on the road, in addition to wearing a helmet, motorists are advised to wear shoes to prevent the risk of fatality in the event of an accident.

"Hope for the community, especially road users, considering that community activities are starting to recover. Please pay attention to safety riding when driving, check the condition of the vehicle regularly, and always carry complete documents when driving for our safety together", he said.
