Police Still Investigating Case Of Wife Killing Husband In Kediri Who Was Mentioned Because Of Unseen Whispers

KEDIRI - Police officers from the Kediri City Resort, East Java, are handling a murder case allegedly committed by a wife to her husband in Betet Village, Kediri City.

Head of the Public Relations Section (Humas) of the Kediri City Police, Ipda Nanang Setyawan, said that currently the case is still being handled by the PPA unit of the Kediri City Police.

Reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 29, the police have not been able to reveal details related to the case. Because it's still under investigation. A number of witnesses, including the alleged perpetrator, are still being questioned.

The stabbing that caused the victim to die happened to Riyono (46), a resident of Betet Village, Pesantren District, Kediri City. He suffered serious injuries and eventually died due to knife wounds to several parts of his body, allegedly by his wife, S (40).

The incident took place on Tuesday (28/6). The victim was then helped by neighbors and taken to the hospital for treatment. As of Wednesday morning, the victim was declared dead.

According to information, the perpetrator of the action was desperate to injure his husband with a knife because he received a supernatural whisper. She was unconscious and injured her husband.

A number of the victim's neighbors said that when they were taken to the hospital, the victim was unconscious. Meanwhile, his wife was still near the victim after the incident, namely in the living room.

The victim's wife was later detained by residents. Likewise with sharp objects that were allegedly used to injure her husband.

Sukiman, one of the village officials in Betet Village, Kediri City, said that Riyono and his wife had been known as good citizens.

According to him, this family also looks harmonious and rarely fights, so he was also surprised by this incident.

"From reports so far, this family is harmonious. So, I was quite surprised by this incident," he said.

Meanwhile, members of the Kediri City Police also visited the location, namely the victim's house in Betet Village, Pesantren District, Kediri City. Members carry out investigations at the scene of the case.
