85 People With COVID-19 In Buildings 6 And 7 Wisma Atlet Hospital Have Decreased

JAKARTA - Patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 who were hospitalized in buildings 6 and 7 of the Emergency Hospital (RSD) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta, decreased by 96 people on Sunday, November 1.

Head of Information for Kogabwilhan I, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian in a written statement received by Antara, said that the number of COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms being treated in the building (tower) has now reached 1,133 people.

"Inpatients confirmed positive in towers 6 and 7 (as many as) 1,133 people, 531 men, 602 women. Initially (on Saturday) 1,229 people, reduced by 96 people," said Aris.

Meanwhile, 11 hospitalized patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 without symptoms (asymptomatic).

Aris said that there are currently 786 patients undergoing independent isolation in buildings 4 and 5 of the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital.

Initially, on Saturday, the number of self-isolating patients was 775 people.

"Patients with self-isolation flats in tower 4 and tower 5, 786 people (consisting of) 419 men, 367 women," he said.

The government opened building 6 and building 7 Wisma Atlet as an Emergency Hospital specifically for handling COVID-19 since March 23, 2020

The RSD building was originally used only to treat hospitalizations for COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms.

Then, the government reopened buildings 4 and 5 specifically for patients with asymptomatic conditions and patients who had no place to carry out independent isolation since the collection of specimens for the confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis.

Building 5 was first operated from building 4, namely on September 15, 2020. Furthermore, building 4 began operating on September 21, 2020.

Building 6 is known to have a capacity of 1,300 beds, while building 7 has a capacity of 1,578 beds.

Meanwhile, Wisma Athlete with buildings 4 and 5 combined, will have a total capacity of 3,116 beds.

Aris said, since the Wisma Atlet Hospital began operating on March 23, 23,302 patients have been registered for COVID-19 treatment.

Of these, 21,729 people have been declared cured of COVID-19 after undergoing this treatment.

Meanwhile, of the 12,649 registered self-isolating patients undergoing independent isolation at the Wisma Atlet Hospital, 11,775 patients have been declared cured of COVID-19.

Aris said, RSD Wisma Atlet also provided recommendations for referral of COVID-19 patients to other nearby COVID-19 Management Hospitals.

Aris said that the Wisma Atlet Hospital had referred 432 patients to another COVID-19 Management Hospital in DKI Jakarta since it was operated on March 23, 2020 to November 1, 2020.

As for the independent isolation patients who received a recommendation for referral to another hospital, there were two people.

Meanwhile, 8 patients died during treatment at Wisma Atlet Hospital as of March 23.
