DJ Joyce Arrested With 3 Friends In A Boarding House In Kemang, South Jakarta, Police Find Methamphetamine And Suction Devices

JAKARTA – The female model as well as a disc jockey (DJ) who was arrested by the South Jakarta Police for drugs, is known as Joye. The woman who has the name Anisa Choerunnisa was arrested in a boarding house with three friends in the North Kemang area, South Jakarta, June 27, at 12.30 WIB.

The Deputy Head of Drugs at the South Jakarta Police, AKP Billy Gustiano Barman, said that DJ Joice was arrested along with his friends with the initials NU, FE and IS.

"A search was carried out on 4 suspects. Of the four suspects, one of them was a woman who works as a DJ, then after being searched there was evidence of narcotics," Billy told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

In addition to arresting the perpetrators, his party also found evidence in the form of methamphetamine and a reckoning tool for methamphetamine. He added that they were arrested when they used the illicit goods together in boarding houses in the Kemang area, South Jakarta.

"(Evidence) A bong or methamphetamine suction device, evidence of narcotics type methamphetamine, two small plastic clips containing methamphetamine, psychotropic powder. They were (arrested) while using drugs. They were friends," he said.

Based on his confession, Joyce got the goods in the East Jakarta area. This information will of course be deepened by the South Jakarta Police in order to uncover drug networks.

"He bought it in the East Jakarta area. Of course we will continue to follow up to the supplier," he said.

Joyce and her colleagues were charged with Article 127 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning drug abuse.
