There Is An Internal Agenda, One Suspect In The Alleged Bribery Case In Central Mamberamo Does Not Attend The KPK Summons

JAKARTA - Due to following the internal agenda of the Central Mamberamo Regency Government (Pemkab), a suspect did not comply with the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He was supposed to be checked on Monday, 27 June.

The suspect was summoned in connection with the alleged bribery taking that occurred within the Central Mamberamo Regency Government.

"The person concerned has confirmed to the Investigative Team that he cannot attend because there is an internal government agenda within the Central Mamberamo Regency Government," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, June 28.

Furthermore, investigators will immediately reschedule the summons. Ali asked the suspect to cooperate in responding to the investigator's summons.

Moreover, the information of the suspect in this case is needed. "We will immediately reschedule and hope that the cooperative suspect will be present at the next summons," he said.

The KPK ensures that the investigation into the alleged bribery case will continue. Moreover, a number of suspects from the Central Mamberamo Regency Government to the private sector have been named.

However, Ali said that the anti-corruption commission will only explain who the suspects are when an attempt to force detention is carried out.

"We need to convey that the investigation of this case is still ongoing and the KPK has named several parties as suspects, both from the Central Mamberamo Regency Government and the private sector," said Ali.

"However, we will officially announce the party named as the suspect when the investigation is sufficient," he concluded.
