Returning Siwi Sidi Doesn't Attend Police Investigation

JAKARTA - The report made by Garuda Indonesia flight attendant, Siwi Sidi Purwanti, to the Twitter account @digeeembok on suspicion of defamation on social media, has not made much progress. The reason is, Siwi Sidi has never fulfilled the police questioning summons.

On the previous occasion, Siwi Sidi was scheduled to be questioned, on Monday, January 13, at around 10:00 WIB. It's just that, he did not fulfill the call with the excuse that he was hit by the busyness of work.

The investigators also rescheduled the examination, to Friday 17 January. However, Siwi Sidi again couldn't fulfill it. The reason this time was because he was looking after his sick parents.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus confirmed that Siwi Sidi could not attend the investigation. The investigators also confirmed Siwi's absence to undergo the examination.

"There was a call from his attorney to investigators saying that today he asked permission not to be able to attend because his mother was sick," said Yusri in Jakarta, Friday, January 17.

Having provided the absentee information, the investigators were rescheduling the examination on Monday, January 20. In fact, the flight attendant's legal team confirmed that his client would fulfill the call for examination.

"But (Siwi) will definitely attend on January 20 or Monday," said Yusri.

Contacted separately, Siwi's Attorney, Vidi G Syarief, confirmed his client's absence. However, Vidi confirmed that his client would be present on January 20, so that the case could be resolved quickly.

Previously reported, Siwi Sidi Purwanti, reported the Twitter account @digeeembok on the accusation of defamation. Siwi considers his good name to be tarnished by the account, because he is referred to as the deposit of one of the state-owned airline's top brass.

The Siwi Sidi report has been registered under the number LP / 8420 / XII / 2019 / PMJ / Dit. Reskrimsus, dated December 28, 2019. So with this report, the owner of the Twitter account was charged under Article 27 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 43 paragraph 3 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and / or Article 310 of the Criminal Code and / or Article 311 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, regarding the @digeeembok account, it was previously known that it was also reported by the Vice President for Cabin Crew of PT Garuda Indonesia, Roni Eka Mirsa. This is because the officials of the state-owned company are said to be pimps.

In an effort to investigate the case, Friday, December 6, the statement of the reporter has been taken. Thus, on suspicion of defamation, the owner of the Twitter account may be subject to Article 27 paragraph 3 of the 2019 Law concerning ITE and 310, 311 of the Criminal Code, which carries approximately four years in prison.
