Awards For The Insurance Industry Are Important During A Pandemic Moment

JAKARTA - The year 2020 is a very important historical record for the international community, where the COVID-19 virus pandemic has successfully destroyed the lives and economy of the world community. No exception in Indonesia.

With changing conditions and community activities in line with the adjustment of a pandemic, various business and business activities as well as the economy as a whole will inevitably also be affected. This includes the domestic insurance industry.

As part of the Financial Services Industry (IJK) which is the backbone of domestic economic activity, the national insurance industry has also grown rapidly so far. Slowly but surely, the level of penetration in the community has also increased rapidly in line with the increasing awareness of the importance of protection and mitigation efforts against various risks that can occur at any time.

With this expanding market, it is certainly a breath of fresh air for the insurance industry players in particular, and also the wider community in general. Therefore, the national insurance industry needs to be given appreciation amid their efforts to survive the pandemic.

Chairman of the Indonesian General Insurance Association (AAUI), Hastanto Sri Margi Widodo, supports the performance of the national insurance industry by giving awards to insurance companies that have performed well.

According to Hastanto, the step of giving awards is important for insurance companies to maintain and enhance their positive image in society.

"Because as we know, there are still some parts of our society who still see insurance (companies) poorly because there is still a lack of knowledge about how the (insurance) industry works. Hopefully in the future we can work together to improve these unfavorable views. So that the public will understand more that the insurance industry also contributes and is an integral part of the national economy, "said Hastanto, in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, October 31.

Not to forget, Hastanto also congratulated the winners of the Indonesia Best Insurance Award 2020. Hastanto hopes that in the future the synergy between the national insurance industry and the media can continue and can be improved in the future.

"Hopefully with the support of all parties like this, the national insurance industry as well as the national economy can immediately improve, recover and return to maximum growth as before the pandemic," he explained.

Best Insurance Award 2020 is an event to appreciate the performance of the national insurance industry with the achievements that have been achieved to date. With the theme "Toward Resilience, Sustainability and Continuity of the Insurance Sector", this award ceremony is expected to contribute to the stretching of the insurance industry amidst the pandemic pressure.

The insurance industry players must be appreciated for always being persistent and not discouraged in boosting performance and always innovating, to as a whole together maintain the national economy so that it can run well.
