JAKARTA - From the results of the investigation of the crime scene (TKP) of the Jatinegara Police at the location of the burning of a rented house located on Jalan Cipinang Muara 1, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, the police did not find any type of gasoline or kerosene and the like.

"There was no other fuel. There was no smell of gasoline and other fuels (at the TKP)," said Jatinegara Police Chief Kompol E. Raharja to VOI, Monday, June 27.

The police chief further explained, the process of suspect Nardi burning the house by tying a cloth on the door frame of his room and then burning the cloth using a lighter.

"So the cloth was stuck at the door and then burned. The evidence that was seized was red gas lighters and cloth," said Kompol Raharja.

Meanwhile, according to the suspect's confession, he burned the rented house using only cloth and matches he had prepared.

"A cloth or scarf to carry a child (the perpetrator) was burned to light a fire. In committing the crime, the perpetrator was conscious and not influenced by alcohol or other drugs," he explained.

Although the results of the urine test of the perpetrator did not reveal the consumption of alcohol and narcotics, the police will carry out further examinations related to the mentality of the perpetrator.

"We will definitely check his soul," he said.

Initially, Nardi burned a rented house located on Jalan Cipinang Muara 1, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Sunday, June 26, yesterday.

Based on the results of the investigation team of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jatinegara Police, the suspect Nardi was determined to burn a house because of a revenge motive.

The man with one child was annoyed because he did not accept being reprimanded by the landlord. Nardi was reprimanded for making noise by always playing guitar and singing in front of his rented house every night from 23.00 - 24.00 WIB.

As a result of the actions of the suspect Nardi, the suspect's wife and newborn child were forced to leave the rented house they were in. His wife and child were expelled by residents because they were angry with the suspect's actions.
