KKHI Reports 6 Candidates For Hajj Died In Daker Mecca

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Hajj Health Office (KKHI) for the Mecca working area (Daker) reported that up to now, six Hajj candidates have died in Mecca.

Head of Daker Mecca, Mukhammad Khanif said, until now six pilgrims died in Mecca mostly due to heart disease.

"Most of the pilgrims who died were due to heart disease. The latest information so far is that there have been six pilgrims, hopefully in the future the pilgrims will always be healthy," said Khanif as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, June 25.

The six pilgrims, Suharno Muhammad Sudjin (63), from the Jakarta-Pondok Gede (JKG) embarkation group of 10 from North Jakarta, died at the Saudi Arabian Hospital on Wednesday (22/6) due to heart disease.

Then on the same day, a pilgrim candidate from Pati Regency, Central Java, on behalf of Subagi Darsono Daud (60) from the Solo embarkation group 2 (SOC) also died at the Saudi Arabian Hospital due to heart disease.

Then on Thursday (23/6), a pilgrim candidate on behalf of Alfin Hartini Soengeb (59) from the Surabaya embarkation group 9 (SUB) from Tulungagung Regency died at the Saudi Arabian Hospital due to a respiratory-related illness.

Then the Hajj candidate on behalf of Fadlillah Muhaki Al Hapisa (62) from the 22 embarkation group Surabaya (SUB) from Probolinggo died on Saturday (24/6) due to heart disease.

The Hajj candidate from Nganjuk from the Surabaya embarkation group of 10 (SUB) on behalf of Samiran Mudjiono Kartoredjo (64) died on the same day at the hotel due to heart disease.

Most recently, on Saturday, a Hajj candidate from Kebumen on behalf of Yuli Nurani Hidayah (56) from the 27 embarkation Solo (SOC) group died of heart disease at the Saudi Arabian Hospital.

In addition to the pilgrims who died in Mecca, data monitored from the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerized System (Siskohat) of the Ministry of Religion recorded that eight pilgrims died in Medina and at the airport, bringing a total of 14 pilgrims to death.
