Asked About The Meeting With Ganjar During Friday Prayers, AHY Admitted That There Was Nothing Special

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) admitted that he met the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo during Friday prayers today, June 24.

He said that this meeting was nothing special because he was carrying out worship together at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque in Brawijaya, South Jakarta.

"On Friday," said AHY briefly, laughing to reporters in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, Friday, June 24.

There is no further statement regarding this matter. However, when he was about to leave Prabowo's residence, AHY said he did not meet the Vice Presidents for the 2004-2009 and 2014-2019 periods, Jusuf Kalla (JK).

"No (meeting JK, ed)," he said, shaking his head.

As previously reported, the meeting between Ganjar and AHY was recorded in a video that was circulated. In the video, Ganjar is seen wearing a white shirt and black cap. Meanwhile, AHY uses black batik.

At that moment, AHY had time to ask Ganjar about the Second National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the PDI-P (PDIP) which was held on 21-23 June 2022.

"Yesterday, the National Working Meeting went smoothly," said AHY.

Ganjar answered that question that the PDIP National Working Meeting was running smoothly. He also mentioned that during the agenda he was staying at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.

"Yes, thank God, thank God, let's camp first," replied Ganjar.

Still in the same video, Jusuf Kalla also appears to be present at the mosque. At that time, he seemed to greet a number of residents.

Regarding this meeting, Ganjar has given a response. "(Meeting AHY, ed) at the mosque near the house," said Ganjar when contacted by VOI via text message, Friday, June 24.

Ganjar did not explain further about his conversation with AHY. Meanwhile, regarding the presence of the Vice President for the period 2004-2009 and 2014-2019 Jusuf Kalla at the same mosque, the PDI-P cadre admitted that he did not know anything.

"Oh yeah (there is a JK in the same mosque, ed)? I didn't even know," he said.
