"The eruption of Mount Sinabung launched hot clouds with a distance of 2,000 meters to the east-southeast, and a column height of 1,500 meters," said Natanail, when contacted from Medan, as reported by Antara, Friday, October 30.

He explained that the three sub-districts in Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province that were affected by the hot cloud were Berastagi District, Merdeka District and Dolat Rakyat District.

"No houses were damaged in the three sub-districts, as a result of the Sinabung Eruption, in Karo Regency," he said.

Previously, Mount Sinabung in Karo Regency, Wednesday (28/10) at around 08.51 WIB again launched a hot cloud with a distance of 1,000 meters to the east-southeast.

The eruption of Mount Sinabung was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 120 mm and a duration of 166 seconds.

Currently Mount Sinabung is at Level III (Alert) status with the recommendation of residents and farmers not to carry out activities in the villages that have been relocated, as well as locations within a 3 km radius from the top of Mount Sinabung.
