Coming To Anies Official House At The Same Time, M. Taufik And DKI Nasdem Are Considered To Have Agreed To Support Anies As A Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - A few days ago, Gerindra Party politician Mohamad Taufik visited the official residence of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan. Taufik's arrival coincided with the Jakarta NasDem Party DPW administrator.

Seeing this, political observer from the Citra Institute, Efriza, sees that the concurrent meeting between Taufik and NasDem DKI is not a coincidence. Moreover, at this time Taufik's fate in Gerindra is on the verge of being fired by the Gerindra Party Honorary Court.

"Anies, of course, has scheduled a meeting with the NasDem management. It is impossible for an important NasDem meeting with Anies Baswedan to include politicians from other parties, if there are no common interests," said Efriza when contacted, Friday, June 24.

Looking back, M. Taufik has stated that he is ready to support Anies if he runs for the 2024 presidential election. Taufik has also given a signal that he is ready to jump to the NasDem Party if he is officially fired from Gerindra.

Meanwhile, some time ago, the results of the NasDem national working meeting (Rakernas) resulted in three presidential candidates being promoted, with Anies being elected by the DPW-DPW the highest.

"So from this meeting it was indicated that M. Taufik had made a verbal agreement with NasDem. He also has the same perception as NasDem as a supporter of Anies Baswedan," said Efriza.

"With the presence of M. Taufik in the middle of a meeting with Anies Baswedan and NasDem, it shows that M. Taufik is considered and accepted by Anies as part of the elite strength supporting Anies Baswedan," he said.

However, Taufik's maneuver is still shy. Efriza views that Taufik still respects Gerindra because he is still officially a member of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction. Even so, Taufik's discomfort at Gerindra has already been seen.

"Taufik's behavior has sent a message, he and Gerindra have different interests. M. Taufik no longer cares about the Gerindra Party, but still only thinks about his position, so he hasn't decided to move his party in a hurry," he explained.

On Tuesday, June 21, M. Taufik visited Anies' official residence on Jalan Taman Suropati, Menteng, Central Jakarta with the Chairman of the DKI NasDem DPW Advisory Council Ongen Sangaji and Nasdem politician Bestari Barus.

When confirmed, Bestari admitted that he also discussed the National Working Meeting which produced three names of figures to be carried by NasDem in the 2024 Presidential Election. Bestari said that the DKI NasDem DPW also proposed the name Anies.

"If we do participate in the National Working Meeting, and at that National Working Meeting, DKI Jakarta itself nominates Anies. So, we convey the things that develop in the National Working Meeting and the dynamics," said Bestari.

Then, with the presence of M. Taufik in the Anies meeting with the DKI NasDem DPW, is this a strong signal that Taufik will move to Nasdem? Bestari did not answer firmly. He handed over the rights to Taufik himself.

"That's him (Taufik) who knows. We'll see in the next few days if there is (Taufik's request to join Nasdem). If there isn't, it's Pak Taufik's own right," he said.
