JAKARTA - The PDI-P II National Working Meeting (PDIP) at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta was officially closed this afternoon, Thursday, June 23. After the closing ceremony took place, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani were engrossed in eating meatballs under the trees.

Located in the party school field, Megawati, Puan together with the Head of the PDIP Situation Room (Situation Room) M. Prananda Prabowo, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, and other cadres seemed to enjoy meatballs.

"If we have lunch first, then at half past four we go out and eat meatballs. That's the daily menu at the Party DPP meeting," Hasto told reporters on the sidelines of eating meatballs together, Thursday, June 23.

PDIP has formulated a number of recommendations from the second National Working Meeting which was held for three days, from Tuesday, June 21 to Thursday, June 23. One of the recommendations read was related to the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

It was the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, who was lined up to read out recommendations related to Pancasila ideology, the political system, and the 2024 General Election.

"The Party's Second National Working Meeting confirms that the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs that will be carried by the PDI-P in the 2024 Election based on the decision of the Party's V Congress, the Party's Articles of Association, and democratic traditions is the prerogative of the General Chairperson of the Megawati Soekarnoputri Party," said Ganjar when reading out party recommendations at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Thursday, June 23.

When Ganjar read out this recommendation, a number of cadres who were present in the PDIP DPP Party School Hall shouted the word 'Freedom'. The atmosphere was boisterous for a moment while Ganjar on the podium continued his reading.

In addition to the issue of candidacy, there are several recommendations in the field of Pancasila ideology, political system, and the 2024 general election which were read by Ganjar Pranowo. Here's the complete:

1. The Second National Working Meeting of the Party emphasized the importance of grounding Pancasila based on the philosophy and spirit of its birth on June 1, 1945. Pancasila as the ideology, philosophy, foundation and guiding star of all strategic government policies, and becomes the guideline for the life of the nation and state. In this regard, the national education curriculum in all educational strata must include Pancasila as a compulsory subject.

2. The second National Working Meeting of the Party fully supports the Government's efforts to recover the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic by accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination, accelerating national economic growth, social assistance, increasing job absorption, investment, and price stability for the people's basic needs.

3. The second National Working Meeting of the Party encourages President Jokowi to increase the synergy of connectivity and cooperation with political parties that carry the government in order to maximize the success of the government for the realization of an Indonesia that is sovereign in politics, independent in the economic field, and has a personality in culture.

4. The Party's Second National Working Meeting emphasized that the determination of the pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates to be carried by the PDI-P in the 2024 General Election, based on the decision of the Party's V Congress, the Party's Articles of Association, and the Party's democratic tradition is the prerogative of the Party General Chair, Prof. Dr. (HC) Megawati Soekarnoputri.

5. The Second National Working Meeting of the Party emphasized the importance of structuring the political system after the 2024 General Election to be in line with Pancasila Democracy by correcting the electoral system and liberal political practices that are capitalistic, full of individual enthusiasm, strengthening the role and function of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia.
