JAKARTA - The Serang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) has asked law enforcement officials to thoroughly investigate the alleged deduction of capital assistance funds for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actors of IDR 200,000 to IDR 400,000 from a total of IDR 2.4 million.
Chairman of the Serang City DPRD, Budi Rustandi, said that the cut in funds was discovered after his party received a complaint from the public.
"I ask to be traced and traced in connection with the cutting of UMKM assistance by unscrupulous individuals. I am ready to install an agency to follow up and process it legally," Budi said in Serang, Banten, reported by Antara, Wednesday, October 28.
He revealed, from the reports received that the cuts were carried out by several unscrupulous individuals with the amount of the assistance discount amounting to Rp.200,000 to Rp.400,000 per person in all sub-districts in Serang City.
"The cut was Rp.200,000, there were Rp.400,000 in all sub-districts, different from the amount of Rp. 2.4 million per person," he said.
Budi appealed to residents of Serang City or MSME actors who had disbursed the aid funds, and then felt that there was a deduction from these individuals, they were advised to immediately report to the DPRD.
"If there are residents who have disbursed the aid and feel cut off, please make a statement letter to be brought to my office (DPRD)," said Budi.
Meanwhile, Head of the Serang City Industry, Trade, Cooperative, and UMKM Service, Ahmad Zubaidillah, said that so far his party had not received any reports regarding the alleged cuts in assistance for MSMEs.
"Until now we have not received a report regarding the cut in the aid. Even if it is there, God willing, I will make sure that the Disperkomop is not involved," he said.
He also said that if this was true and carried out by an individual on his part, he would be welcome to report directly to the police for follow-up.
"If it is done by people from Disperkomop or outside it, it is absolutely not allowed. Later, if it is proven, it will be sanctioned," he said.
