COVID-19 Update As Of June 22: New Cases 1,985, Accumulated 6,072,918 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 82,844 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1,985 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,072,918 and active cases have increased by 1,296 to 11,391", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, June 22.

Today's recovered cases increased by 687 people, bringing the total to 5,904,825 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 cases and totaled 156,702 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,226 cases and a total of 1,260,844 cases. Followed by West Java with 292 new cases with a total of 1,109,406 cases. Banten with 214 new cases and a total of 295,277 cases. East Java with 93 new cases and a total of 577,321 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 362 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 117 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 82 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 32 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 100,230,120.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 2.04 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,156 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 201,242,691 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,590,045 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination was followed by 49,342,174 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
