Central Jakarta Police Chief Intervenes To Secure Pickpockets In The Horse Statue Area

JAKARTA - The Head of Central Jakarta Police, Kobes Heru Novianto, directly participated in securing suspected pickpockets during a demonstration against the Job Creation Law, which was chaotic in the area of the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 28.

Monitoring VOI in the field, Heru immediately secured the person suspected of being a pickpocket. This young man wearing a white shirt was arrested in front of the ESDM Ministry Building.

Heru was seen immediately taking the young man to a police car parked at the Southwest Monas Crossing, escorted by several of his members. This young man seemed unable to do much because of his actions being caught by the police.

The action at the Horse Statue got heated up. This is due to the emergence of a number of unidentified protesters. They had burned tires shouting revolution.

In order to secure this action, the TNI mingled with the protesters to disperse them. "Brothers and sisters, let's go home late in the evening," said a TNI member from the commanda car.

After some time, the police also mingled with the masses. They also dispersed the protesters because the time to convey their aspirations was over.
