The Commitment Fee For Formula E Is Less Than IDR 90.7 Billion, PAN: If It Is Jakpro's Responsibility, Then You Have To Pay

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PAN faction of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Bambang Kusumanto, said that the lack of payment for Formula E of 5 million pounds or IDR 90.7 billion had to be repaid by PT Jakarta Propertindo as the organizer.

"If that is the responsibility of Jakpro, then Jakpro must pay", said Bambang in a short message to VOI, Tuesday, June 21.

So, will the additional cost of the Formula E commitment fee have an impact on the loss of organizing the electric car race? Bambang said he didn't know. Because, until now, Jakpro has not yet provided a report on the income and expenditure of Formula E.

"I cannot comment yet because there has been no report from Jakpro to the council regarding the profits of Formula E from ticket sales. Maybe they have been audited internally, but there has been no report at the council", said Bambang.

As is known, in the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the 2021 DKI Jakarta Provincial Government financial statements, it was revealed that the commitment fee according to the results of the PT Jakpro renegotiation was not IDR 560 billion.

The Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) revealed that the actual commitment fee was around IDR 653 billion or 36 million pounds. This was found by BPK in the revised feasibility study document which was compiled by Jakpro. However, the DKI Provincial Government and Jakpro have never previously disclosed this total commitment fee.

The lack of commitment fee payments was confirmed by the President Director of PT Jakpro, Widi Amanasto. He said that the lack of commitment fee, which had previously been paid IDR 560 billion through the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), was included in the renegotiation agreement with Formula E Operation (FEO).

"It was an agreement from the start", said Widi when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building.

Widi explained, that in the renegotiation process that took place in mid-2021, the calculation of the Formula E commitment fee was set at 12 million pounds per year.

This figure is down from the nominal agreement before the renegotiation. Where the commitment fee for Formula E must be paid by DKI for 20 million pounds.

So in the planning of Formula E for 3 years, DKI had to pay 36 million pounds or equivalent to IDR 653 billion.

Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government has paid a commitment fee for Formula E of IDR 560 billion from the 2019 and 2020 APBD. This payment was made before Formula E was postponed to 2022.

Meanwhile, the remaining IDR 90.7 billion will be charged to PT Jakpro through company funds. According to the agreement, this lack of payment has a deadline of until the third year of Formula E, which is in 2024.

"From the first, it was 12 (million pounds) per year. That was after being negotiated from 20 (million pounds) so much. The rest (IDR 90.7 billion) later (paid)", said Widi.
