Threatening Cadres Who Are Maneuvering, Megawati: Nothing In The PDI-P Is Playing With Two Legs!

JAKARTA - Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded her cadres not to maneuver ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election. All decisions will be taken by her as the mandate holder.

This was conveyed by Megawati at the opening of the 2021 PDIP National Working Meeting at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta today, Tuesday, June 21.

"Who are you guys who do the maneuvers to get out! Why isn't there in the PDI-P such as playing with two legs, playing with three legs, maneuvering," Megawati exclaimed in her speech in front of her cadres, including President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who then applause.

Megawati reminded herself that she had the prerogative to determine the party's future steps, including in relation to presidential nominations.

"Only the general chairman will determine who will be the presidential candidate from the PDI-P," said Megawati, who was again greeted with applause from her cadres.

"Remember, it's better to get out. It's better to get out than I fire you. I fire you," added the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

It didn't stop there, he reminded his cadres to obey party rules. Mega also asked them to unite with the people to solve problems around them.

"Well, if you just want to mejeng alone, duh, not really," he said.

Furthermore, Megawati also reminded her cadres not to be complacent with the survey results. "Surveys can be seen but don't be used as a guide because it's not us who are moving, but we are ourselves. If you are negligent and have been influenced, I say it's a comfort zone," he said.

Megawati reminded her cadres to move, even though PDIP currently dominates surveys. Anyone who doesn't want to move because they're too caught up in the survey should leave the survey.

"I will always say that person resigned from PDIP. There is no point. Because I formed this party, we can organize people's power to become solid with us to move forward for Greater Indonesia," he said.

"So if anyone disagrees, please step back," he concluded.
