Erick Thohir Meets Prabowo, Spokesperson For The Minister Of Defense: Only Defense Industry Coordination

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir met with Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto. This meeting was held at the Office of the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan), Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta.

Regarding this meeting, the spokesman for the Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, said that there was no discussion related to politics. The two ministers met to discuss the domestic defense industry.

"Coordination is only related to the defense industry," Dahnil told reporters via text message, Monday, June 20.

Dahnil said the meeting was held on Friday, June 17. In addition to discussing the defense industry, there was also a discussion related to the revitalization of local products for the country's defense equipment through SOEs engaged in the defense sector.

Erick Thohir through his Instagram account, @erickthohir uploaded a video of his meeting with Prabowo. He invited netizens to guess what he was talking about with the former Kopassus Danjen.

"An open discussion with Mr. @prabowo at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. Guess what the discussion is about?" wrote the former chairman of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin winning team.

In the video, Erick Thohir, who was present at the Ministry of Defense, seemed to be greeted directly by Prabowo. The two of them had a casual conversation while entering a room before having a closed meeting.

After meeting in private, Erick left the room with Prabowo. He was led to his car.
