Research Reveals The Benefits Of LSD To Help Focus The Human Brain

JAKARTA - Recent research has revealed the benefits of LSD (lysergic acid diehylamide) to help focus the brain's work. Research emphasizes that LSD can help focus on the right dose and tends to be small.

You are unlikely to take a lot of LSD to help you focus because in certain doses, LSD will actually take you on a psychedelic journey. The research is published in the journal European Neuropsychopharmacology.

In the study, scientists from the University of Basel, Switzerland and Maastricht University, The Netherlands gave volunteers small doses of LSD. Scientists then measure their ability to notice and process information. Scientists also watched the volunteers' moods.

Like much psychedelic research, this study was small and limited in scope. However, from this limited study the scientists were able to find clear differences between the levels of LSD doses, from non-impact, assisted focus, to recreational doses that are important in psychedelic rituals.

Quoted Futurism, Tuesday, October 27, at a dose of five micrograms, LSD helps volunteers focus. The effect was still felt at the 20 microgram dose, but with the added feeling of anxiety that some volunteers reported.

The volunteers also agreed that everything was still under control at a dose of five micrograms. Mood swings start at a dose of ten micrograms. At that dose the participants began to feel their consciousness "rising".

The recreational dose of LSD used for psychedelic journeys usually starts at around one hundred micrograms. However, this research does not lead there.

This study selects volunteers selectively. There are 24 people. On average, they admitted that they had been accustomed to doing psychedelic recreation at least 2.75 times on average.

In that study, 24 volunteers were divided into four groups of six people each. Each group is given five, ten, or 20 micrograms of LSD. The distribution is done to ensure that the change is due to the LSD dose, and not something else.

Scientists say this research should be re-validated on a larger scale. Even so, they mentioned that research is important to distinguish variations in the response of the human body at various dosage levels.
