JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto reminded his regional heads to be disciplined against party mechanisms. All decisions, including the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) will be taken by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri in accordance with the mandate of the 5th PDIP Congress in Bali.

This was conveyed by Hasto when opening the briefing at the Coordination Meeting of Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads of PDIP at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta today, Thursday, June 16.

"PDI-P as an ideological party, a Sukarnoist nationalist party, a guided democracy, and a long tradition that knows the salt and water of politics, the standard mechanism of the party as a result of the congress gives a mandate to the chairwoman. This is our mechanism. So everyone must be disciplined if they claim to be party cadres," he said. Hasto in front of the regional head and his deputy.

Hasto reminded the regional heads of PDIP to carry out the party's duties, namely to move down to help the people. They were also asked to solve existing problems.

"The movement is single and downward with the people. It is up to them to carry out their respective duties in their respective areas," he said.

In addition, regional heads are also asked to continue to consolidate. Then, they are also required to support the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

"The final party leadership from party cadre, cadre assignment and current priority scale party assignment is comprehensive consolidation. Comprehensive consolidation every day, pursuing the achievements of the three party pillars on all lines. That's our answer for the people," said Hasto.

"So let's pursue achievements among the people, not achievements above that we have to pursue. Support the government of President Jokowi to achieve maximum legacy. That's our priority," he added.

In this coordination meeting, a number of regional heads from PDIP were present, including Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.
