JAYAPURA - Papua Governor Lukas Enembe asked through the Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) the Mayors and Regents of Papua to carry out the agreed Joint Strategic Program Priorities (PPSB).

"I need to say that this is the end of next year's leadership in December, I will step down because it's been a two-year period," he said on the sidelines of the Rakerda activity as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 15.

According to Lukas, before coming down there must be something that can be given to future generations to build the land of Papua in a better direction.

"To the people of Papua there will be many changes that must be completed," he said.

He explained that with so many changes, it must be a joint discussion.

"In PPSB, which have been agreed, such as superior scholarships, then regarding health in this case the use of the Papua Healthy Card (KPS) then the issue of education in which the Province takes care of master and doctoral levels," he said.

He added that it is related to the internal consolidation of the provincial government and district and city governments as well as to the implementation of the new format of special autonomy governance.

"With one year remaining to prepare the Draft Perdasi and Perdasus in the context of implementing Special Autonomy in Papua Province. Therefore, today's meeting is very important and strategic to build joint commitments," he said.

Just to note, the Rakerda was attended by 23 regents and mayors who have signed the Joint Strategic Program Priority (PPSB) agreement at one of the five-star hotels in Jayapura City.
