Zulkifli Hasan Becomes Trade Minister, Golkar: Shows KIB Will Guard Jokowi's Government Until 2024

JAKARTA - Members of the DPR from the Golkar Party faction, Ace Hasan Syadzily, congratulated the General Chair of the PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, who had been appointed by President Jokowi to become the Minister of Trade.

Ace believes that Zulkifli is able to overcome problems in the trade sector which have not been resolved so far.

"We believe that under his leadership, various trade problems can be handled properly, especially regarding the cooking oil problem," said Ace to reporters, Wednesday, June 15.

The chairman of the West Java Golkar DPD said the election of Zulkifli Hasan at the same time strengthened the position of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to work together to make the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government successful until 2024.

"In particular, the election of Mr. Zulkifli as the chairman of PAN, who together with the Golkar Party initiated the KIB, shows that this KIB will oversee Jokowi's government policies until 2024," said Ace.

"Of course we have to work according to the direction and achievement targets expected by President Jokowi," he continued.

The Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR also congratulated the former TNI Commander Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto who was given the mandate as Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN). According to Ace, Hadi's figure is also very appropriate to occupy the position.

"The two figures are very competent in their respective fields. Mr. Zulkifli Hasan has experience in the previous government and is considered successful in leading the previous cabinet," said Ace.

"Similarly, Pak Hadi Tjahjanto, who previously had experience as a TNI Commander, could lead the Ministry of Land," he concluded.
