Ahead Of MXGP Somota 2022, BPBD NTB Anticipates Disasters To Safeguard Rabies Dogs

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is preparing disaster mitigation measures ahead of the Indonesian Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) event in Samota, Sumbawa Regency which will be held on 24-26 June 2022.

Head of BPBD NTB, Sahdan said this anticipation step was needed in dealing with various disasters that were expected to occur. Including the implementation of MXGP.

"The anticipatory steps are strengthening the construction of tent roofs, carrying out reforestation, preparing tank cars for water supply, securing animals to prevent the spread of rabies, evacuation routes, helipads, preparing a Disaster Preparedness Team (TSB)," he said in Mataram, NTB, quoted from Between, Monday 13 June.

He said the predicted disasters would take the form of natural disasters such as hurricanes and fires, and there were also social disasters such as riots that could occur.

"The dangers that are expected to cause disasters are hurricanes and fires, but they are unlikely to happen," he added.

However, he hopes that there will be no disaster. However, efforts and anticipatory steps are needed so that activities can run smoothly.

"Coordination continues to be carried out by various parties so that the MXGP event can run smoothly," he said.

It is known that the Indonesian MXGP circuit in Samota consists of 18 bends and 11 challenges stretching for 1.8 kilometers.

The Samota Circuit offers hilly contours and beautiful landscapes around 360 degrees to the eye. The calm Flores Sea fences the north of the circuit, Moyo Island has a beautiful peek on the east side of the circuit, which is located in Sumbawa Regency.
