MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government will summon a number of Night Entertainment Place (THM) entrepreneurs to take firm action against entrepreneurs who violate regulations related to COVID-19 prevention. A number of THMs were netted by Yustisi operations to enforce the Makassar Mayor Regulation (Perwali) Number 51 of 2020.

"We firmly call on the businessmen about what the threat is, the business is closed, within an undetermined time, then we can also impose a maximum fine of 10 million in order to have a deterrent effect," said Makassar Head of Satpol PP Iman Hud to VOI, Sunday, October 25.

He emphasized that he had never prohibited activities from any place as long as he followed the health protocol rules. Because the government has given breadth and leeway to return to business.

"In principle, in the health protocol, we invite you to try but you must comply with the health protocol. The fact is that this field is neglected. On the one hand, visitors must obey but the one who has an important role is the entrepreneur, the entrepreneur must be firm," he said.

"We are not prohibiting if for example the seat capacity is 10, so there should be 5 seats, how many people there are 1 table there are 10 people, then this is very unfortunate," he continued.

The Makassar City Government through the Makassar Satpol PP held a Mask Yustisi Operation in the context of implementing discipline and law enforcement of health protocols based on Makassar Mayor Regulation (Perwali) Number 51 of 2020.

Holywings Makassar, THM, which had just operated, was immediately forcibly closed by Operation Yustisi officers. The reason is Holywings Makassar is considered to have violated the legality protocol.

"So that Thursday night the grand opening was a nightclub, but in a cafe, the discotheque functioned with a DJ, even those visitors did not comply with the Health protocol, did not keep their distance, were under pressure," he said.
