Secretary General Of Gerindra Calls Prabowo A Figure Who Can Create Food Availability

JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani said Indonesia needed a strong leader who could use food as a source of national defense.

According to him, Indonesia will face a demographic bonus, so the availability of jobs is important to maintain economic stability.

"One of Mr. Prabowo's concerns is food. How can food be used as sources of national defense strength, because the threat of a food crisis has now become a real issue for countries in the world," said Muzani as quoted by Antara, Sunday 12 July.

Muzani said the Indonesian economy could be stable if jobs were available.

Therefore, Prabowo is a figure who can create economic growth, state stability, and food availability.

He explained, that the current grassroots support for Prabowo is getting stronger, it shows that people still want Prabowo to go forward to lead Indonesia.

"That's why we ask Prabowo to come forward because he currently has whatever he has and is fulfilled, both in terms of material and others. However, he still has the spirit to fight for the advancement of the nation, his calling to serve the nation and the country has never subsided. That's why we asked him to run again in the 2024 presidential election," he said.

Muzani said Prabowo has a strong commitment to making land in Indonesia into food sources.

The program, he said, would also serve as a strategic step in strengthening food security and keeping food prices stable.

"We must have strong food sources, our land is large, our farmers are great, what we don't have is respect for agricultural products. Even though Mr. Prabowo is the Minister of Defense, he is very serious about overcoming our food self-sufficiency problem," he said.

The declaration of support for Gerindra DPC Metro City, Lampung was also attended by farmers, MSME activists, and the surrounding community.

Muzani said he would convey the aspirations of the people of Metro City to support Prabowo.
