From Bogor, Vice President Maruf Wants Cibuluh Batik To Go Worldwide

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin supports the development of batik typical of Cibuluh, Bogor, West Java, so that the batik can penetrate foreign markets.

"To the batik makers, I hope that they will continue to develop their businesses, and grow their creations and innovations in order to produce unique batik products with the characteristics of Cibuluh Village," said the Vice President when visiting the Cibuluh batik village, Bogor, Wednesday, June 8, quoted from Antara.

The Cibuluh batik village is under the guidance of the Mustahik Economic Empowerment Institute (LPEM) of the National Amil and Zakat Agency (BAZNAS).

The vice president hopes that the batik artisans in Cibuluh Village, who are also mustahik or groups of people who are entitled to receive zakat, can continue to develop batik production with its uniqueness, to foreign countries.

"Some time ago, I met with Indonesian designers, they joined forces to produce Muslim products that are now popular everywhere. I hope the products from Kampung Cibuluh can later be exported abroad. Therefore, there must be creations and innovations," he said. vice president.

Head of BAZNAS Noor Achmad explained that since 2019, the Cibuluh batik village has been fostered and developed well.

"At that time there was one batik maker. Seeing the great potential, BAZNAS finally grew it. From 5 groups, now there are 8 groups, consisting of 40 batik makers," explained Noor Achmad.

On this occasion, the Vice President had the opportunity to symbolically distribute aid to 5 representatives from 8 groups of batik craftsmen.

After giving direction and motivation, the Vice President took a close look at the products produced by batik, bought several products, and greeted local residents.

Several times the Vice President was pleased to take pictures with residents.
