Viral Video Principal Mistreatment Of Teachers In Kupang NTT, Head Of Education And Culture: Perpetrators Will Be Called

KUPANG - The Head of the Kupang District Education Office, Imanuel Buan, regrets the case of vigilante action by the Principal of SD Negeri Oelbeba Alexander Niti against teacher Anselmus Nale.

"We are very sorry for this incident because it could have an impact on educational activities at the school, especially since the violent video has gone viral on social media," said Imanuel Buan when contacted by Antara in Kupang, NTT, Monday, June 6.

Imanuel Buan said that the persecution and beatings by the Principal of SD Negeri Oelbeba and his family members against Anselmus Nale should not have happened if the problems that occurred at the school were resolved properly.

"We regret that this case also involves the family of the Principal of SD Negeri Oelbeba, who also beat and tackled the victim," said Imanuel Buan.

He emphasized that his party had withdrawn Anselmus Nale from the school to the Kupang Regency Education Office to prevent unwanted things from happening if the person concerned was still on duty.

According to Anselmus Nale's statement, he said, he had reported the incident to the Kupang Police.

The Principal of the Oelbeba State Elementary School was immediately summoned for questioning related to the persecution experienced by Anselmus Nale which went viral on social media in NTT.

The abuse case occurred on Wednesday (1/6) as a result of the dynamics of the teachers' meeting because Anselmus Nale criticized the school principal, Alexander Niti, who rarely attended school.

"The legal process is still ongoing and the Education Office will take strict action against the principal, including disabling him from the position of principal," he emphasized.
